Welcome to Lincoln, home of the Eagles! We are glad you are here and look forward to working together to Engage, Educate, and Empower our students to be their individual best.
Our staff prioritizes positive relationships and instructional best practices. Teachers engage in regular professional development designed to further these priorities and communicate regularly with parents. Strong relationships are important–we want our students to want to be at school! We value regular attendance. Students cannot learn if they are not here, so students should be in attendance daily unless ill.
We have high expectations for student success and promote not only academic learning but also life skills such as personal responsibility, respect, and communication.
We believe we must meet students where they are both academically and behaviorally to yield high outcomes. To that end we are committed to providing a continuum of supports such as Title I services, Response to Instruction (RtI), and high ability programming. Additionally, all students will be engaging in the Second Step curriculum to expand their social-emotional skills.
Beyond the classroom our older students have the opportunity to participate in both extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. Volleyball and basketball teams are our athletic teams for fifth and sixth graders. Student Council encourages leadership and philanthropy. New this year to Lincoln are Spell Bowl, Math Bowl, Science Bowl, and Robotics. We value these activities and will continue to look for ways to increase enrichment opportunities for students.
It is my sincere pleasure to serve as the principal of Lincoln. I firmly believe this upcoming school year will be our best one yet!
